The High Commissioner for Pakistan, Lt General (Rtd) Tahir Mahmud Qazi, in a statement here, Thursday said that all Pakistanis visiting Malaysia were required to register themselves with the Pakistan High Commission, on arrival.

He appealed to all Pakistanis visiting Malaysia to voluntarily get registered with the Community Welfare Section of the Pakistan High Commission either personally on their arrival in Malaysia, or provide their essential information by telephone to the Community Welfare Section at tel no 2164-5949.

“An option for on line registration will also be provided in the Pakistan High Commission’s website,” he added.

He said that coordination with the Pakistan and Malaysian telecommunication companies was also being made to automatically provide the contact numbers of the Pakistan High Commission in the welcoming message, on arrival, when the roaming facilities establish their connection with the local telecom companies.

The High Commissioner said that this mechanism was being set in place to provide maximum assistance and help to all Pakistanis for their trouble-free visit to Malaysia.
