Chennai : Opener Andrew Strauss scored a patient 93 not out to take England to 164 for the loss of one wicket in their first innings against India at tea on the opening day of the first cricket Test at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium here Thursday.
Strauss along with Alastair Cook (52) added 118 runs for the opening wicket. At the tea break, Ian Bell was the other not out batsman on 17.
