Sari, Mazandaran prov : Head of Islamic Azad University’s Board of Trustees, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Monday that Muslim Ummah should try to keep up with other states in the field of science.
Speaking at the end of his two-day visit to northern Mazandaran province on Monday, Rafsanjani said Quranic verses call for acquiring knowledge and today, acquisition of high-level science is the real need of Iran’s Islamic society.
On the first day of his visit to Mazandaran province, Hashemi Rafsanjani took part in a ceremony commemorating martyrs of Mazandaran province.
He also met a group of local clergies and political officials.
