Patna : Maoist guerrillas abducted two brothers from a village in Bihar Wednesday night, police said Friday.
Rajesh and Sunil Yadav, both in their late 20s, were abducted at gun point by a group of armed Communist Party of India (Maoist) activists from their house in Sevai village under Barachatti police station in Gaya district, about 125 km from here.
Some villagers told police officials in Gaya that two brothers were abducted on suspicion of belonging to a rival Maoist outfit.
Gaya police chief R. Malar Viji said that district police, along with the paramilitary forces, had launched operations to rescue the brothers. However, two days after the abduction, police have had no success in locating them.
