Geo TV to air ‘stunning revelations’ on Bhutto killing

Islamabad : Privately-owned news channel Geo TV is to air “stunning revelations” Wednesday on the assassination a year ago of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto in a gun and bomb attack in which the Taliban is said to have had a role.

“The viewers would surely know stunning revelations about some hidden facts linked with the tragedy,” said The News daily, which is part of the group that includes Geo TV.

Titled “Geo Investigates”, the programme will be telecast at 6.05 p.m. and will feature expert comments and analysis regarding the mysterious circumstances under which Bhutto was assassinated at Rawalpindi’s Liaqat Bagh Dec 27, 2007.

“The two-time prime minister, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had a charismatic personality. Even her staunch political rivals admitted that she was a woman of international stature. Her death has deprived the nation of a leader who was capable of improving the country’s image in the comity of nations,” The News noted.
