Cairo : Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa called Saturday to hold an emergency meeting of Arab Foreign Ministers next Wednesday to tackle repercussions of Israeli aggression in Gaza Strip which resulted in the killing of more than 200 people and the injury of 300 others.
A source who participated in tonight’s Arab League representatives’ meeting told KUNA that due to the existence of prior engagements by foreign ministers from the GCC and ministers of the Maghreb Union, it has been decided to hold the emergency meeting of foreign ministers next Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the source added Moussa pointed out in Saturday’s night’s closed session that the Arab summit could be held in Doha next Friday and to be preceded by a preparatory meeting of Foreign Ministers.
The Arab representatives of Algeria, Sudan, Oman, and Djibouti welcomed the calls by the League to hold the emergency Arab Foreign Ministers meeting next Wednesday.
