Rise of terrorism in India

Terrorism is a matter of great concern regardless whether it is in India or Pakistan or in any part of the world. Use of violence is the most disturbing element of the time

Indian government and terrorism

Rather than containing it the Indian government has allowed terrorism to spread. Demolition of Babri Masjid was an open act of terrorism. A bunch of people terrorized the entire Muslim community and the government of India failed to take any action against the culprits. It again failed to bring to book those involved in the 2002 Gujrat pogrom.

Terrorism and Indian Muslims’ approach

Muslims should take stand based on Islamic principles: No justification for violence for change under any circumstances. Muslims should not allow radicals within the community to interpret religion according to their own understanding.

Mumbai terror attacks

It’s terrible. The culprits have acted against humanity, religion and people.

What should Indian government do?

It should rely on people’s power. It should call a conference of representative of all religions and all sections of the society to discuss how to tackle the menace of terrorism.
