New Delhi : The National Investigation Agency has come into being with President Pratibha Patil giving her assent to a bill to create an exclusive agency to probe terrorist crimes, Home Minister P. Chidambaram announced here Wednesday.
“The president’s assent has just been received, so it has become law even as we speak,” Chidambaram told reporters at a year-end press conference.
