Rain stops play as India struggle in Brisbane ODI

Brisbane : Rain stopped play as India were struggling at 128 for six in 36 overs against Australia in the first match of the Commonwealth Bank triangular one-day series at the Gabba here Sunday.

Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was batting on 14 and Irfan Pathan on 11 when rain stopped play.

Earlier, Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat first.

Gautam Gambhir’s 39 runs (51 balls, 4x4s) is the top score of the Indian innings while Australian speedster Brett Lee captured three wickets.
