Uglo was speaking during the inaugural session of the meeting, condemning the Israeli blockade on the defenseless Palestinian people, including the closure of border crossings.
He criticized that the Israeli blockade had led to the stoppage of fuel, food and medicine flow to the population of the Gaza Strip, aggravating the suffering of the Palestinian people.

What is going on in Gaza is the last episode of a long series of Israeli illegal aggressions and practices against the Palestinians in breach of international and humanitarian laws, he said.
He also denounced Israeli atrocities in the occupied Palestinian territories as a war crime.
Uglo warned Israel not to continue the extrajudicial of Palestinian leaders in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, digging works at al-Aqsa Mosque, Jewish settlements and the separation fence.

However, he blasted the UN Security Council for failure to take a resolution on the suffering of the population of Gaza, caused by illegal and inhumane Israeli practices.

In this context, he urged all Palestinian factions to be united in face of the Israeli aggression.
He also lauded Egyptian efforts to achieve national reconciliation among Palestinian forces, thanking President Hosni Mubarak for allowing thousands of Palestinian to stream into Egypt to get their fuel, food and medicine needs.

The OIC chief finally urged all Arab and Muslim nations to give up mere condemnations of Israeli atrocities and to take tangible and concrete steps instead in order to support the Palestinian people.
