London : British Foreign Secretary David Miliband Tuesday “utterly” condemned yesterday’s suicide attack in Dimona.
The Foreign Secretary said in a statement there can be no justification for this deliberate attack on civilians.
The minister said his thoughts are with the families of the victims and those injured.
“Yesterday’s attack, the first in Israel for a year, was aimed to undermine the peace process,” he said.
Terrorist atrocities must not deflect us from our shared goal of just and lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians based on a two-state solution, Miliband added.
The Foreign Secretary said Britain continues to support those leaders whose commitments at Annapolis and since have given Palestinians and Israelis the first glimmer of hope in seven years.
“We must continue together to stop extremists from achieving their goal of escalating violence and preventing progress,” Miliband concluded.
