Sino-Pakistan friendship is deep-rooted: Chinese armed forces personal

Beijing : The friendship between Pakistan and China is inscribed in our hearts and it will continue to prevail from generation to generation.

This was stated by President of Armed Forces Police Hospital, Beijing, Zheng Jing Chen on the occasion of gift presentation ceremony held in the hospital on Tuesday, said a press release.

Mrs. Taranum Bashir, wife of ambassador Salman Bashir presented gifts to the children.

“Children are envoys of friendship and are strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two countries,” said Zheng. He said that your visit to this institution has brought warmth and happiness.

Presenting gifts to the children Mrs. Taranum Bashir said that this is just a small token of solidarity, humanity, kindness and above all friendship with the Chinese kids.

“We want them to know that they are special and that they are not alone,” she said.

She pointed out “we affirm on behalf of the children of Pakistan, our friendship with the Chinese children as they have many friends and well wishers.”

Pakistan and China, she said are close neighbours as well as old friends and we are well on the way to developing a vibrant partnership in the field of health.

“We are very happy that this hospital is playing a leading role in this regard”, she noted.

She said that Pakistan Embassy College, Beijing (PECB) has some 400 students from over forty countries and all these students have made generous donations to make this gift presentation ceremony a meaningful.

On the occasion, Mrs. Taranum Bashir expressed thanks for sending medical teams comprising doctors and nurses to Pakistan after the tragic earthquake where they looked after children and other victims with great devotion.

For this act of kindness every Pakistani has expressed deep gratitude to Chinese people.

She expressed her confidence that Pakistan’s cooperation with China and in particular with the Armed Forces Police Hospital will deepen and broaden in the days ahead.

The ceremony was also attended by Commissioner Jia Linbo, Vice-President Ms Liang Li Wu and other distinguished guests.
