Religious Madrasa Board Meeting to be held In Delhi On February 17

Saharanpur: February 15: An important meeting of All India Deeni Madaris Board will be held in New Delhi on February 17 to discuss the topic of ‘Prominent Ulema’s Responsibilities in Cotemporary Times’. To make the meeting a success, central office-bearers of the Board are visiting various areas of Delhi and western Uttar Pradesh. Giving this information, the officials of the Board told at a press conference that after visiting Faridabad, Mewat, Mathura, Agra, Tundla to meet and invite the authorities of Madrasas and prominent Ulema to attend the meeting being held at Taj Enclave (Gita Coloney), a delegation of the Board reached Saharanpur today and this caravan shall arrive Delhi on February 17 via Deoband, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Ghaziabad.

The agenda of the meeting includes issues like starting a movement for popularization of education establishing usual Qur’ani Maktabs and educational institutions, apprising native brethren about services rendered by Islamic Madrasas, obviating hatred being spread against religious Madrasas, preparing distinguished Ulema for participation in all departments e.g. health, reforms in society, social service, politics and inter-religion relations, and removing obstacles and difficulties faced in performing Hajj. A very important issue that will be discussed at the meeting relates to arrests of Ulema, students and common Muslims on pretext of terrorism and the ways to prevent this trend. After the meeting, a delegation will meet prime minister, home minister, Minorities Commission chairman and Congress president Ms. Sonia Gandhi and present them a memorandum in this regard.
