The informants explained how the car headrest was replaced by one with a small bomb, which exploded Tuesday in Damascus and killed one of the main strategists of the Lebanese-Israeli war in 2006, in which Hezbollah defeated the Israeli Army.

At the funeral for the assassinated Hezbollah leader in southern Beirut, main Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrala accused the Israeli government of promoting the attack and warned of consequences.

“The Zionists thought that killing him, they would tumble the resistance movement, but they were wrong, because we will keep on fighting,” he stated.

The Israeli government intensified security measures on the borders in fear of reprisals.
