Ramallah, Jan 5 (Prensa Latina) Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayad affirmed Saturday that with the recent aggressions against occupied territories, Israel tries to discredit the government of the Palestinian National Authority.
The cabinet chief issued a release announcing the cancellation of an Egypt visit to attend an extraordinary meeting of the Arab League foreign ministers Sunday. The objective of the meeting is to analyze the crisis in Lebanon and the Israeli expansionist policy.
Meanwhile, Maan news agency quoted an official source as saying it is obvious that with their systematic incursions, Israeli authorities intend to frustrate PNA efforts to restore order and stability in the West Bank.
The Tel Aviv policy, the source added, is aimed at distorting the image of the Palestinian government, and making believe the world that it is unable to control the territories of the autonomy.
Israel has never recognized the international community’s confidence on the Fayad government, nor has never believed it could work to attain security and order, and thus it is carrying out military incursions to damage its image, it stressed.
