New Delhi : The Delhi High Court Friday issued a notice to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) administration on an application moved by the resident doctors of the institute expressing fears that their appointments may be held up.
Chief Justice M.K. Sharma and Justice Reva Khetrapal issued the notice to the AIIMS after hearing the plea of 16 affected doctors who apprehended that their appointments would not be extended on time.
The court asked the AIIMS administration to maintain the status quo till the disposal of the case.
Counsel Maninder Singh appearing on the behalf of the doctors explained how the applicants were being victimised for the last six and a half months by the AIIMS administration. He said that the appointment of 107 senior doctors is still being kept in abeyance without any valid reasons.
