“The Russian supplies of nuclear fuel to Iran could help its bid to manufacture nuclear weapons,” Livni, who was speaking during a lecture at the Russian Diplomatic Academy, said Thursday.

She said now that Russia has started to supply Iran with nuclear fuel, the process of uranium enrichment would be steered towards military ends.

She warned that unless a solution was reached to the Iranian nuclear file, the situation in the area and rules of the game would all be changed for the worse as far as the rest of the world is concerned.

Turning to the Palestinian issue, she pleaded with the rest of the world to “understand and support the Israeli attempt to divide the Palestinians into moderate and hardliners.”
If this approach is endorsed, then peace can be achieved in the Middle East, she added.
