Bangladesh, India security forces agree to exchange information of terrorists

Dhaka : High officials of the Bangladesh Riffles (BDR) and the Border Security Force (BSF) of India Sunday at a Deputy Director General level border meeting agreed to exchange between them information of terrorists of the both countries.

The three-day border conference began Sunday at a local hotel of Bogra town, organized by BDR Sector Headquarter of Rajshahi, a BDR press release said here.

BDR Deputy Director General Brigadier General M A Bari led the 12-member Bangladesh side while IG of BSF North Bengal Frontier IG R A Tewary led the 16-member Indian side.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to take effective measures to stop illegal cross-border trafficking specially movement of terrorists as well as to check smuggling of fake notes, various drugs and narcotics including Phensydl.

BSF side said, they would not open fire during daytime except defense themselves, said the release.
