Damascus : Syrian Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Mualim lashed out on Tuesday at “Israeli massacres” in Gaza Strip and warned the Israeli siege would lead to a humanitarian catastrophe in the strip.
This condemnation followed a series of contacts Al-Mualim held, last night, with the Qatari deputy premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassem Al-Thani, Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki, and his Spanish counterpart Miguel Angel Moratinos as well as Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan.
He underscored that the Palestinian cause “is going through a serious phase” that warrants the Palestinian people’s unity and resolving disputes.
