Islamabad : No chance of further delay of elections, as law and order situation in the country is in total control, Secretary of the Election Commission Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad said Friday.
Talking to Geo News, he said, printing of ballot papers have been completed. Provincial chief secretaries have been asked to provide reports of sensitive polling station.
He said, complaints registered against various Tehsil and District Nazimeen have not proved correct after verification. If interference of Nazimeen in elections is proved correct he or she will be disqualified immediately without any further inquiry.
However, several complaints registered so far against various Nazimeen by respective District Returning Officers (DROs) have not proved, he added.
Meanwhile talking to Samaa News Sindh Chief Election Commissioner Chaudhry Qamaruz Zaman said preparations are hundred percent completed for holding free, fair, transparent and peaceful elections.
Destroyed offices of election commission in Sindh have been rehabilitated or shifted at other buildings.
He said, the annihilated election material has been reprinted and also shifted at respective places aiming to ensure that no problem is created for elections.
Regarding international observers pouring in the country to witness the ensuing general elections, he said the observers would be free to visit any polling station any time.
