Islamabad : Two Pakistani journalists were kidnapped Friday by Taliban insurgents in the country’s north-western region, a media report said.
A local leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was also kidnapped along with the journalists in the Mohmand tribal district, the report said.
The journalists were abducted by the Taliban insurgents for taking photographs in the area without their permission, the official Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) quoted a local Taliban leader as saying.
An official said consultations are on with the local tribal leaders to get the three men released unharmed.
