Veracruz (Mexico) : At least 14 people have been killed and more than 20 injured in a bus-truck collision in southern Mexico, EFE news agency reported Monday.
The accident occurred Saturday evening when a passenger bus hit a truck head-on near the town of Tantoyuca in Veracruz, a state on Mexico’s southern Gulf Coast.
According to officials, most of the dead were from the truck, which provided transportation service in northern Veracruz.
All the injured were taken to a nearby hospital and the conditions of some of them are stated to be very critical.
The police have begun an investigation into the incident.
