A suicide bomber detonated his explosives-packed car in an area of the capital which is also very near to the interior ministry, causing several casualties, said Zemarai Bashary, interior ministry spokesman.

“It was a suicide car bomb in front of the Indian embassy, there are casualties but at this stage it is not clear to give precise number,” he said.

Media reported that at least 15 people were killed or injured in the attack. A TV channel quoted hospital doctors saying around 16 injured arrived in the emergency room.
