Bhopal : At least one person was killed and six people were missing Friday when a jeep carrying 11 members of a marriage party plunged into a rivulet in Madhya Pradesh’s Chattarpur district, police said.
While four people escaped, the body of one person, identified as Lakshmi Ahirwar, was fished out from the water. Six people, including three children, are still missing and a search operation has been launched.
The people were on their way from Khairo village to Amanganj in Panna district to attend a wedding when their jeep fell into a stream near Kisangarh town, about 400 km from here.
