Islamabad : Pakistan has rejected the statement of Afghan President Hamid Karzai that Pakistani intelligence agencies and the army are behind attacks in Afghanistan.
Afghan President on Monday directly charged Pakistan of having hands in the last week suicide attack at the gate of Indian embassy in Kabul and other violent incidents.
“Pakistan is not involved in such kind of terrorist acts. Our efforts are aimed at stopping such attacks,” Information Minister Sherry Rahman said.
She said that such statements create tension in the region and the region needs peace and all will have to demonstrate political maturity.
Karzai also put blamed on Pakistan of the public execution of two women by Taliban on the charges of prostitution in Ghazni province.
He said the Afghanistan had conveyed to Pakistani government that killings, destruction of bridges are being carried out by Pakistani intelligence and army.
Afghan President last month threatened to send troops to Pakistan to attack militants, the remarks strongly condemned by the Pakistani government.
Afghan cabinet decided on Monday to suspend upcoming meetings with Pakistan unless trust is restored.
