By Prensa Latina,
Washington : The US Government said on Monday that a long-term agreement discussed with Iraq will rule out any specific troop pullout timetable.
US presidential Press Secretary Dana Perino said the pact may include a date to start transfer of security control to Iraqis but not for a US withdrawal.
She said both governments refused to link the number of US troops to any specific date in order to avoid commitment to force a pullout.
According to Perino, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki changed his mind, as he previously defended the inclusion of a pullout schedule among the items of any security agreement with Washington.
