Riyadh : The Organisation of the Islamic Conference’s (OIC) executive committee will meet in Jeddah on Monday to discuss an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court (ICC) chief prosecutor against Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir on charges of war crimes in Darfur.
The executive committee meeting, to be held at ministerial level, the OIC said in a statement Wednesday.
The committee is currently made up of Senegal, Malaysia, Egypt, Uganda, Pakistan, Syria and Saudi Arabia.
The ICC top prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, has asked the court to issue an arrest warrant against Bashir for inciting war crimes and crimes against humanity in the troubled province of Darfur.
