By Xinhua,
Kathmandu : Nepal’s police Saturday detained more than 450 Tibetan protestors who have resumed anti-China demonstrations in the capital.
“At least 450 Tibetans were held while heading toward the Chinese embassy,” said city’s police chief Sarbendra Khanal.
The demonstrators shouted anti-China slogans and appealed to the police not to intervene in their demonstration.
Tibetans in Nepal have been carrying out almost daily anti-China protests since mid-March.
The protests were temporarily halted during the Himalayan country’s Constituent Assembly elections April 10.
