Islamabad : Suspected Taliban militants have killedd a female in Pakistan’s conservative tribal agency on the charges of spying for US troops in Afghanistan.
The dead body of female spy was found Wednesday afternoon near a bridge in Bajaur tribal agency, where a US helicopter airstrike killed more than 10 persons and wounded several others last month, tribal sources told KUNA.
A note, they said, left on the body said the female was spying for US forces. “This is the fate of a slave of America”, it read. Militants have killed several tribesmen in recent months in the tribal region, accusing them of spying for the US-led coalition forces across the border.
The United States and Afghan officials have repeatedly claimed the rugged tribal region is used by militants to launch cross-border attacks on NATO troops deployed in Afghanistan.
