Islamabad : Pakistan will export 50,000 tons of wheat to Afghanistan despite threats of invasion by Kabul administration leader Hamid Karzai, reported the media Monday.
Last week Karzai spoke of invading Pakistan to attack the alleged Afghan rebels, which has created new tensions between both Islamic countries.
According to “Business Recorder” financial newspaper those grains sales to Afghanistan will come from those existing in the State Storage and Supply Corporation for Pakistan Agriculture in subsidized payment.
The source said that 50,000 tons will be added to regular export of 600,000 tons annually received by that country, occupied by US troops and NATO.
The newspaper recalled that Pakistan is now facing an important shortage of wheat and has recently purchase 2 millions 500,000 tons.
