Explosion kills two soldiers, eight officials kidnapped in Pakistan

Islamabad : Two paramilitary troopers were killed in a remote-controlled bomb explosion in a Pakistani northern valley on Sunday.

Meanwhile, suspected militants kidnapped at least nine government officials in another northern town.

Local Taliban militants targeted a security forces convoy in Matta area of Sawat valley with a remote-controlled bomb, security sources told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

They said the explosion killed two soldiers and wounded another.

Meanwhile, suspected militants kidnapped at least nine senior government employees in northern Hungu town, about 250 kilometers from Islamabad.
