The 190-bed Ivy multi-speciality hospital management claimed that the health mall was the first of its kind in the country.

Ivy hospital and cancer research institute chief executive officer Gurtej Singh said the new health mall would be a composite healthcare services destination with dedicated departments, specialities and clinics owned and operated by highly skilled experts and surgeons from the country and overseas.

Seven specialities, including an advanced urology centre, advanced radiation therapy centre and a highly developed nephrology centre, are part of the health mall.

The mall is spread over an area of 130,000-square feet. The hospital management plans to open a few more health malls in other Indian cities soon.

“We will cater to the ever-growing demand of people for better healthcare facilities under one roof. We will have an international help desk for patients from abroad,” said Gurtej Singh.

He said that Rs.400 million had already been invested in the health mall and the total plan was to invest Rs.1 billion.
