Iraqi delegations of MPs back home from Iraq

Kuwait : Head of the Parliamentary Caucus and Speaker of the National Assembly Jassem Al-Kharafi, along with his delegation, returned home on Thursday after taking part in the 50th session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) held in northern Iraq.

Al-Kharafi’s delegation was welcomed upon arrival by Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Mohammad Al-Busairi, Minister of Housing and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Abdel Wahed Al-Awadhi, Supervisor of the National Assembly Mubarak Al-Khurainej, the Iraqi charge d’affaires in Kuwait Fadel Khudair and leading figures of the parliament.

The Kuwaiti delegation included MPs Walid Al-Tabtabaei, Khudair Al-Enezi, Saad Al-Shuraya’, Secretary General of the National Assembly Olam Al-Kanderi, the Assistant Secretary General for the Parliamentary Caucus, Toufic Al-Wuhaib.

The Arab parliamentary conference was held for three days in the northern Iraqi city of Irbil.

Al-Kaharfi’s presence at the conference, held in Iraq, was eventful with regard of the Kuwait-Iraq ties’ record.
