Cuttak (Orissa): The Imarat Shariah (Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa) has launched a social reform campaign in Orissa and is holding meetings and conferences in various parts of the state.
Addressing a meeting in Cuttak City on 14th March, Maulana Aneesur Rahman Qasimi, secretary general of Imarat Shariah, asked the Muslim community – common people, intellectuals and Ulema and Islamic scholars – to come forward to expedite the efforts being made for social reformation in an organized and consistent manner.
He said the delegation of the organization was visiting various regions including Orissa in order to popularize the same spirit of reform and inculcate the same practice among masses. The delegation will visit various areas of the state from 13th March to 19th March to survey religious, educational, social and economic condition of Muslims.
Mufti Mohammad Sanaul Huda, assistant secretary of the organization, called upon people to unite on the basis of Kalimah (basic statement of faith) by abolishing schism and dissention at all levels, stressing that mutual differences within the community are its biggest enemy.
