Sudha Jain of the BJP raised the matter during the zero hour saying: “Leader of Opposition Jamuna Devi has made objectionable comments against the daughters of the state while commenting upon ‘Ladli Lakshmi’ scheme at a recent meeting in Seoni-Malwa town.” Jain demanded an apology from her.

But Jamuna Devi claimed that she had not insulted women and she had been misquoted.

At this Congress and BJP members started shouting at one another, forcing the speaker to adjourn the house for 10 minutes.
