Damascus : Arab leaders and heads of delegations endorsed during their closed session here on Sunday the draft resolutions listed on the agenda of the 20th Arab Summit, as well as the Damascus Declaration.
The summit is set to wrap up later today with the official announcing of the final communique and the Damascus Declaration in a joint press conference for Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa and Syrian Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Muallem.
Director of foreign media at the Syrian Foreign Ministry Boushra Kanafani said in a statement to reporters that the leaders’ discussion was “very objective and positive,” and that the spirit of cooperation and keenness for joint Arab action prevailed.
“These are positive indications, and we are content with the general atmosphere and the results that were reached,” she said.
