Damascus : Iraq has announced its reservations over the content of the Damascus Declaration, related to Arab solidarity and national security.
The declaration was read out by Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa during the closing session of the 20th Arab Summit on Sunday.
Iraq’s Vice President Adel Abdulmahdi, who is heading his country’s delegation to the summit, expressed in an interjection Iraq’s reservation because the declaration failed to include a condemnation of terrorism.
Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, who heads the summit, took note of the reservation.
