Gaza : Israeli forces executed an incursion into the eastern district of Rafah City, south of Gaza Strip, early Saturday, eyewitnesses said.
The force was backed by tanks, vehicles, and military aircrafts and executed its operation amid heavy firing, they added.
Witnesses told KUNA a large number of Palestinian activists from different groups clashed with the force, which was stationed around Gaza international airport.
Clashes are ongoing and sounds of explosions can be heard as missiles are being fired by the Israeli tanks, they added.
Five Palestinians were killed and eight others were injured in two Israeli air raids on Rafah and Khan Younis Friday evening and early Saturday.
Spokesman of the Israeli Army announced Saturday morning that it killed five people in two air raids on Hamas sites in south Gaza Strip.
An Israeli helicopter fired a rocket at three Palestinians in south Gaza Saturday morning after they got close to the barrier separating the strip and Israel, he added.
He pointed out that the Palestinians were injured in the attack, however Palestinian medical sources denied knowledge of the incident.
