By TwoCircles.net staff reporter,

Surat (Gujarat): All kinds of terrorism need to be condemned whether it is perpetrated by an individual, group or government, said M.Q. Khan, organizer of the anti-terrorism conference held by Majilis-e-Tahaffuz-e-Madaris (Gujarat) on 11th May.

The conference also passed a four-point declaration that highlighted the double standards in cases of terrorism. In every case of terrorism baseless accusations are made against Muslims but when it comes to the cases of terrorism by other community targeting Muslims, people and investigative agencies usually shy away from even acknowledging. The declaration also appealed to the government that it should take notice in cases of false accusations and arrests made on the pretext of fighting terrorism. It appealed to the government to make the intelligence system more responsible and sensible.

Addressing the media, the declaration pointed out the need for the media to be independent and free from any kind of bias and fictitious accusations against any particular community. The conference called upon the Muslims and madrasa people to exhibit higher morals, cooperate with the government, ensure transparency in students’ religious training and internal and external systems of madrasa and strengthen contacts with all other communities.
