Patna : Common people of Jaipur are trying to bring the life to normalcy just days later after devastating serial blasts rocked the walled city on Tuesday. All are trying to help one another irrespective of the religion. There is no feeling of communalism in the mind of local people. They all are trying to maintain communal harmony and old Ganga-Jamuna culture. Mr Azim Khan, a Peace Fellow for Foundation for Universal Responsibility of Dalai Lama, who is at present in Jaipur, told TwoCircles.net on phone Wednesday night.
Mr. Azim Khan said that the whole society is divided in two sections- one is of the common people and another is of the politicians. Fist section is busy helping their brothers without feeling of religion or community and other section i.e. politicians are busy in accusations on one another for the sake of their political popularity and to secure their vote banks, with an eye on the forth coming election in Rajasthan, on the basis of sympathy. A small section of media is also involved in spreading hatred by stressing the need to implement Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA), Khan said.
When asked about the present situation there he said that people are afraid and trying their best to live a normal life. There is no feeling that Muslims may be involved in these dastardly acts. They are just considering this event as an act of terrorist who has no religion, Azam said.
According to Mr Khan police have arrested 6 people with this connection so far for investigation. It has also released a sketch of terror suspect last night. All of the walled city seems to have been converted into a military cantt. Para military forces are camping in the walled city area and keeping close vigil. The police is actively busy to search the persons involved in this terrorist act, Khan reported.
He said 65 people have lost their life officially and around 170 are injured. Azim told TCN that yesterday curfew was imposed for the whole day to avoid any communal incident. It was relaxed for the night and again it will be imposed today. He was surprised on the political atmosphere there and said that instead of helping the victims all politicians and their parties are busy in blaming their counterpart for this event.
Asked is there any hatred among people for a particular community he said: “No, no such feeling is being felt while interacting with a number of people. All are helping one another in SMS hospital, which is full of victims, where injured are being treated.”
