Kabul : Two soldiers with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed in two separate incidents in southern Afghanistan.
A statement from the NATO headquarters here said one soldier was killed by enemy hostile action and another was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast while supporting an Afghan National Police (ANP) operation.
“Our hearts and minds are with the families and other loved ones of the dedicated soldiers who died today,” said ISAF spokesperson Brig. Gen. Carlos Branco.
The spokesman did not mention the exact location of the two incidents. Names and nationalities of the two soldiers were not release for policy reasons.
