Sderot suffers missile attacks, PRC claims responsibility

Gaza : Two missiles were fired early Tuesday from northern Gaza Strip targeting the Israeli settlemt of Sedrot, located in southern Israel, an Israeli Army spokesman said.

An army spokesman told local radio that two missiles hit an area near the Israeli settlement without causing any human losses or material damage.

He pointed out that warning siren were sounded to alert the local population to take cover after the firing of the missiles was detected.

Meanwhile, Salahdin brigades of the Palestinian Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) claimed responsibility Tuesday for firing a missile on Sderot.

The brigades stated that a single missile was fired at dawn towards the Israeli settlement.

The attack was in retaliation for the Israeli massacre of Palestinians in Gaza Strip and the West Bank, it said, adding that it would continue to resist until all Palestinian territories were liberated.
