In the latest attack, the witnesses said that an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on a car but the explosion injured five bystanders, including children.

Hamas sources said the car belongs to militants from the movement’s military wing and it was then parking on a street, adding that the fighters survived the airstrike which targeted their car near Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza Strip.

The injured people were evacuated to Kamal Adwan hospital in Jabaliya refugee camp. The hospital officials said the injuries of the victims were “between slight and moderate.”

Minutes earlier, an Israeli artillery shell landed in the east of Beit Lahiya town in northern Gaza Strip, moderately wounding a Palestinian teenager, paramedics said.

The shell landed in an open space where a group of children were playing.

The airstrikes came as Egypt is mediating between Israel and the Palestinian factions to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas delegation went to Cairo to hear Israel’s response to the ceasefire offer. Later on the day, Hamas is expected to elaborate more on the current talks in Cairo in a press conference.
