This Friday the agents were focused on contrasting Olmert with previous declarations of ex advisor Uri Messer, according to Haaretz.

Police sources noted that Messer is suspected of keeping the money delivered by US millionaire Morris Talansky to the current Head of Government who has not yet been officially accused.

Talansky was questioned by the police this week and on Sunday he will give his version on the event to the examining magistrate.

During half and hour on May 9 Ehud Olmert declared to the Fraud Department investigators that he has accepted money from the millionaire and reiterated he did not give him any benefit of any public post.

According to his responses late in the 90s when he was Jerusalem’s mayor he received those funds and allocated them to his political campaign.

This judicial process is threatening to destroy Olmert’s career and in fact bring the conversations with Palestine, already bad, to standstill.

Police agents have recently seized documents related with the case.
