In a meeting with a delegation of U.S. Congressional aides, Dahabi said that Jordan is looking forward to supports for the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian negotiations to keep the momentum provided by a U.S.-host Annapolis conference last November.

Dahabi stressed that a just solution to the Palestinian issue will contribute to solving other issues and conflicts in the region.

He urged Washington and the entire international community to support the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) under President Mahmoud Abbas in its efforts to strengthen its institutions, alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and enable it to regain their legitimate rights.

The premier also voiced Amman’s welcome to the Doha agreement which led to the election of Michel Sleiman as Lebanon’s new president to pave the way for an end to the country’s political crisis between the rival majority and opposition blocs.
