According to IRNA corespondent in Beirut, Nabih Berri has also strongly criticized Tel Aviv for not delivering the map of the regions in which such fatal bombs have been used so that the Lebanese Government would more easily dismantle the remainder of their undetonated ones.

Berri added in his Monday address at the Lebanese Parliament, “The international community, too, should demand Israel to pay compensation to Lebanon for having abandoned undetonated bombs at civilian and agricultural lands of our country.”

He said, “Lebanon has been among the pioneers of signing the treaty to abandon the usage of cluster bombs, and is yet a big victim of their usage by the inhumane Tel Aviv regime of such fatal facilities.”

The Lebanese Parliament Speaker meanwhile urged the Lebanese government to pay compensation to the bereaved families of Lebanese victims of cluster bombs and asked the friendly Arab countries to assist the UN forces involved in defusing the undetonated cluster bombs.

The Lebanese official emphasized, “The Zionist regime still refrains from presenting the maps related to mine fields it has created in Lebanon, despite the international community’s repeated demands in that respect, which is very regrettable.”
