U.S drones regularly fire missiles in the Pakistani tribal regions to hit suspected militants which also cause civilian casualties.

Zardari in an interview with an American daily said that the U.S is varying out attacks with Pakistan’s approval.

He said that the attacks are a result of some understanding between Pakistan and the U.S.

Deputy chief Jamaat-e-Islami, Senator Prof. Khurshid Ahmad expressed shock over Zardari’s statements and said Zardari’s statements are bombshells and a move to stab at the back of the country.

“No one has a right to barter our sovereignty and national honour whether it was Pervez Musharraf or Asif Ali Zardari. This nation will never accept this abject surrender and betrayal. Those playing in the hands of America will be thrown out as cobwebs,” Khurshid said.

“The U.S. also must know that it may be a super power but it has no right to violate sovereignty of Pakistan and the Pakistani nation and its Armed Forces are determined to fight back any attack on or intervention in there territory”, the Jamaat leader stressed.

Prof. Khurshid also criticized Zardari’s statement about Kashmir, who had described Kashmiri fighters as “terrorists”.

“Even the UN General Assembly has recognized freedom struggle as a legitimate right of people under occupation,” he said.
