Kabul : At least 17 Afghan civilians, including 15 children, died during a raid of the International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) led by NATO in Helmand southern province, reported official sources Friday.
The police chief in Helmand general Assadullah Shirzad told the media that foreign planes bombarded buildings in Nad Ali district Thursday killing civilians, among them children and women.
The inhabitants of the attacked village moved the corpses to the government headquarters in the province of Lashkar Gha on board of two vehicles, 25 died, reported other sources.
However, ISAF release noted that they are aware of what has happened in Nad Ali district but could not confirm civilian victims and announced an investigation in process.
