Jammu (India) : As many as 137 members of the divided families crossed over the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, Indian official sources said here Tuesday.
A group of 61 civilians crossed over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) Monday by Poonch-Rawalakot bus service, the sources said adding 36 among them were from the state who went to PoK to meet their families and relatives while 25 were PoK civilians who came to meet their family members in the state.
Another 76 civilians travelled to Poonch from PoK, they said adding 41 were PoK citizens among them while 35 others returned to the state.
Rawalkot Deputy Commissioner Mehmood Zaffar and Sub- Divisional Magistrate Hajeera Parvez Yaqub from PoK side were present at the Chakan-da-Bagh point while Assistant Commissioner (Development) Salim Malik and Dy SP Dar Rajinder Singh represented Poonch.
