According to activists, the citizens are walking the streets of St. Paul protesting against the wars orchestrated by President George W. Bush and his aggressive foreign policy.

Organizations like Code Pink: Women for Peace, Women against Military Madness, ANSWER Coalition, Indian-American Movement, Venezuela Solidarity Network, Somali Cause, Latin Americans against War, and the Group of Solidarity with Palestine said hurricane Gustav will limit the work schedule but not their plans.

After the imminent impact of Gustav was made public, the Republicans announced some changes in the opening-session program of the Convention like the cancellation of President Bush and Vice-president Richard Cheney”s speeches.

Dozens of people got arrested during the National Democrat Convention last week in Denver, Colorado, protesting against the current administration because of the war in Iraq, the tortures alleged terrorists have suffered, and the domestic espionage.
